Building the AI Homeroom: A STEAM & AI-Powered Learning Adventure!

Hello everyone!

I'm so excited to share an update on a project that's very close to my heart – the development of our STEAM Learning AI Chatbot Hub, the AI Homeroom! This endeavor represents the culmination of my own learning journey blending my passion for AI, education, and creating engaging experiences, especially with my daughter Lucy.

In today's digital world, AI is rapidly transforming how we live and work. Yet, many children have limited access to AI, particularly safe and educational AI. We want to change that! Our vision for the AI Homeroom is to bring quality, personalized, encouraging, and educational AI learning companions to students everywhere.

Our journey began with Sparky, our first AI chatbot, using a single chatbot model with GPT LLM modifications through Simplified.com's web services. Seeing the immense potential of this technology to revolutionize education, I began exploring various AI projects focused on academic topics and ethical considerations. It became clear that while AI tools are becoming more prevalent, there's a lack of emphasis on teaching AI use in schools, and for good reason. Many freely available AI tools aren't suitable for children and require careful tailoring for these young users.

With the development of the AI Homeroom, we're taking the next big step. We're creating a platform where students can interact with multiple AI chatbot tutors, each specializing in a different STEAM discipline. Imagine having an AI companion that can guide you through a science experiment, help you design a virtual structure, or teach you the fundamentals of coding – all in a safe, engaging, and personalized way!

We believe that AI has the power to make learning more accessible, effective, and fun. We're committed to developing fun AI tutors that are not only knowledgeable but also patient, encouraging, and adaptable to each student's unique learning style.
